A Grand Affair

On a brisk evening in November, ALIGN welcomed The Grand to downtown Denver by hosting A Grand Affair.

As Union Station’s newest and best-appointed luxury apartment building, The Grand asked ALIGN to create an experience on par with its wildly creative interiors crafted by Ken Fulk, one of the most celebrated names in design.

The evening was designed as a journey of discovery. Guests made their way from lobby to penthouse, enjoying moments that revealed the highlights of morning, noon and night at the The Grand.
Curated nibbles by Biju’s Little Curry Shop were paired with craft cocktails from The Family Jones distillery and the funk/soul beats of DJ Wesley Barnes of Something Vinyl Club to set the stage for an unforgettable experience.

Guests were greeted at the entrance with custom cocktails mixed with Bougie Syrups.

The Denver design scene stopped by to take in the splendor of Ken Fulk’s lobby style.

The next stop was The Grand’s spacious gym where guests were greeted with Whole Sol fresh-pressed juices to quench their thirst while watching professional snowboarders twist and turn on the HD snowboard/ski simulator.

Guests were taken on a treasure hunt around the building, roaming floor to floor gathering stamps at each stop. The lucky winner received a one- or two-night stay at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch with the choice of a luxurious spa package, a day on the slopes, or a memorable dining experience at the resort.

Post workout, the journey catapulted to the penthouse. Guests relished in sweeping views of downtown Denver and healthy bites from Whole Sol—White Truffle Avo Toast, Vegan Cookie Dough and Matcha Smoothie Bowls.

Fulk’s award-winning design took center stage in the penthouse suite with imaginative details and unique furnishings.

Celebrated interior designer Ken Fulk flew in for the affair, as did The Grand owner Sandra Shorenstein of Shorenstein Properties.

The final stop on the journey was the 23rd floor’s Penthouse Pavilion lounge and deck with sweeping views of the city lights. DJ Wesley Barnes of Something Vinyl Club  spun funk/soul/disco tunes while guests dined on nibbles from Edible Beats and sipped cocktails from local distillery The Family Jones.
